Fourth of July has to be one of my favorite days during the summer! My town especially knows how to throw a great fourth of July! Between our parade and beaches and fireworks, fourth of July feels like a very long party. Ever sense I was little my mom would always make a big deal about what my sister and I were going wear (usually matching), and I loved it! I have sense always made a big deal about what I’m wearing on the day!
For one thing dressing for the fourth is easy because your color scheme is already picked for you! Its all about what you are doing that really dictates what you are going to wear, so I’ve put together some of the looks I would wear to typical fourth of July festivities to help out!
First is what I like to call my boating outfit (clearly because I go sailing so often). Zara has a nautical line out right now that is perfect for a picnic by the water or on the beach, I was all over it when the line came out. Stripes are one of my favorite patterns so even if it weren’t for the fourth I would be wearing this outfit.
My fourth of July usually consists of me going to a parade in the morning and then hitting up the beach in the afternoon. That being said I need an outfit I can wear to both, that also can keep me cool while sitting in a crowd of people and acts as a coverup for the beach. A romper does the job for me in this case, I don’t have to worry about having to change in between activities!
A lot of time on independence day people head out to a barbecue, a sundress is perfect for this! Its comfy and not restraining, which allows you to eat as much great food as you want!
Of course the perfect way to end fourth of July is with fireworks! This can be the coolest part of the day, which means shorts or a sun dress doesn’t always make for the best outfit. Luckily tea length dresses just happen to be in style. and make for the perfect firework watching outfit!
I hope you all have the best Independence Day! Thank you for reading!
