Pisa + Lucca, Italy – August 25, 2017

At the beginning of the semester my friends and I took a day trip from Florence to see one of the seven wonders of the world the leaning tower of Pisa! Once we got there, you could say that we were a bit underwhelmed lol. It was an extremely hot and over crowded, and we were unable to see the lean as well as we expected to!

Once we walked around the area, took a bunch of pictures with the tower we decided that we wanted to explore somewhere else. We took a train to another town called Lucca, and it was probably one of the best decisions we’ve made so far. It was the CUTEST town I have ever laid my eyes upon! It is surronded by a fort so we were confused on how to get in but once we figured it out we were brought into this quaint park. People were tandem biking and strolling in the gardens! I would love to get a home there!

If you are ever in Florence and are looking for something to do that is off the beaten path head to Lucca!

Thank you so much for reading! Dominique 🙂
