London fashion week is the week that I expect to see some of the most outlandish RTW that we will see all season, not including Tokyo. But the real hit this week was no other than the Queen Elizabeth herself. She sat front row with American Vogue editor-n-chief Anna Wintor at the Richard Quinn show. This was only Mr. Quinn’s second show since graduating from the prestigious Central Saint Martin. His bright all-over floral patterns delighted the queen, as well as adding extra scarves to the show in dedication to her. It was a fun collection and exactly what I would expect from London fashion week.
My Second favorite show of the week was by Ashley Williams. This is a collection that I would buy in a heart beat. Total early 90s vibes, the dress above reminded me of the polka dot dress that Julia Roberts wore in the movie ‘Pretty Woman’. I loved the oversized proportions, the dramatic makeup, and the shoes how they drew from us millianels love for comfort. I loved that it was extremely girly without being cute and still felt like the women was in charge. Loads of overarching trends used in this collection, to have the collection have femininity as well as feminism and woman empowerment is a challenge that the completed!
